Melodika MDJS170

Melodika MDJS is a stereo cable made of OFC 99.99% oxygen-free copper with a conductor cross-section of 0.35mm2, terminated on both sides with large 6.3mm stereo jack plugs. The Nuetrik plugs are made of a single nickel-plated cast and covered with 24-carat gold. The Melodika MDJS cable is ideal for professional stage and studio use. Available in lengths from 0.5m to 20 meters.

Quality: Why copper purity is so important? The signal which is running through the guide should encounter on its way as little obstructions as possible. In case of low purity copper the amount of impurities which must be bypass is large. Then we can say that the signal has to go through a real slalom. In the purified copper, electrons run straight to the goal, so the sound is not distorted. Moreover, there is another argument. Copper impurities include oxygen atoms. They cause oxidation. Produced copper oxide which is much weaker conductor than the proper copper. In this way the conductivity deteriorates which obviously affects the sound.
