Why copper purity is so important? The signal which is running through the guide should encounter on its way as little obstructions as possible. In case of low purity copper the amount of impurities which must be bypass is large. Then we can say that the signal has to go through a real slalom. In the purified copper, electrons run straight to the goal, so the sound is not distorted. Moreover, there is another argument. Copper impurities include oxygen atoms. They cause oxidation.
